Music - a skill for life so count us in

Jindabyne Central School students from Kindergarten to Year 9 and 10 elective music students participated in the national event Music Count Us In! Each year, on the same day, at the same time, students across Australia sing the same song.

This year over 600,000 students participated. The event was webcast live from the steps of Parliament House.

Why? It's all about raising awareness about the unique benefits to children of all ages and abilities when music education is part of their lives at school.

Music learning helps build brain power, team skills, confidence, school engagement and it is a skill for life.
