SNOWY River Shire Council's Berridale Poplar project is progressing.

The project is now moving into phase two, or regeneration.

Council has engaged ARTERRA Pty Ltd to assist with the creation of a Landscape Master Plan and report that looks at the future vision of Berridale's CBD and town approaches.

The comprehensive report also outlines the condition and options for management of the avenue of Poplar trees in Berridale as part of phase two of the project.

"Berridale community members who attended our consultation sessions put forward a number of ideas to be considered for future landscaping of the Berridale avenue of poplars and CBD", General Manager, Joseph Vescio said.

The draft Landscape Master Plan is expected by September 2014 and will be reported to Council for approval. Once approved, the draft Landscape Master Plan will be placed on public exhibition for comment by the community.

"As promised, Council will be engaging with the community to discuss the draft Landscape Master Plan. Community members will be encouraged to comment on the draft document to contribute to the regeneration portion of this project," Mr Vescio said.

Council will continue to keep the community informed upon the progress of the Berridale Poplar project, along with any community consultation sessions.
