TWO time World Champion and Olympic snowboarder Alex "Chumpy" Pullin spent last Saturday morning riding with a group of local snowboarders at Thredbo resort.

Organised through the Rob Kneller Youth Foundation who assist local kids to be involved in snow sports, Pullin met the group at Friday Flat and then spent all morning riding around Thredbo and offering advice and encouragement to the group.

Initially 15 people had registered but it was also opened up to the winter based Redlands school who have lessons at Thredbo.

They joined the group as the poss roamed the mountain.

Pullin who is Australia's highest profile male snowboarder in snowboard cross, happily accommodated numerous requests for photos and the whole group were ecstatic to be riding around with the World Champion.

"We got a really good turnout, everyone's really excited and I think to bring everyone together, all ages, a real mix of styles it's going to be fun to shred around Thredbo together," Pullin said on meeting the group.

At the conclusion of the morning there was an encouragement award and everyone received a prize, with thanks to all the sponsors including Thredbo, Bolle, 2XU compression garments, One Piece of Jindabyne and the Rob Kneller Youth Foundation.
