STUDENTS from Snowy Mountains Grammar School raced on snow in several events over the recent school holidays. There were four events conducted as schools events during this period - the Knox/Pymble Race, Redlands Cup, Scots Races and Shredlands

In the Redlands Cup at Thredbo, Hannah Sugerman won the Redlands Cup as the fastest girl in the Grils Alpine Skiing. This is the third time that Hannah has won this event. The Division 1 Alpine Boys teams came 4th and the Girls were 2nd. In Division 2 Snowboard the Boys came 2nd and the Girls 1st with Georgia Crisp 2nd individually and Kaylie Thomas 3rd. In Division 3 Snowboard, Maisie Phillips was placed 2nd whilst the Division 4 Snowboard Girls team came 2nd with Hannah Hall 3rd individually. In the Boys Division 4 Snowboard, Tom Krpan was individually 1st

At the Scots Races in Perisher in Division 5 Alpine, Zac Bortoli placed 1st and in Division 6 Alpine Cassie Nicholls came 2nd In Division 2 Snowboard Georgia Crisp came 2nd, in Division 3 Snowboard Maisie Phillips was 2nd. At the Knox Pymble race, Geneva Guy was 1st in Division 3 Snowboard.

Finally, the Shredlands event was run at the Merritts Park in fine and sunny conditions. This is an unusual event in that there is no times taken - it is a freeride event with judged scores. All involved had a great time and look forward to more of these events.
