The Herd are headlining the Peak Festival.

Earlybird tickets close this Saturday for the coolest festival this side of Iceland - Perisher Peak Festival!

There's just one week to go till Peak Festival hits Perisher with over 140 acts across 10 on-snow stages. Punters can expect bigger name acts this year, with styles reaching from blues, world, roots and traditional into pop, afro, hip-hop and soul music.

Peak Festival begins on Friday June 6 on the Long Weekend and continues at pace till Monday night on June 9. Look out for 70s Folk Icon Glenn Cardier, the chilled harmonies of Melbourne's The Little Stevies and the arresting Shellie Morris, the 2014 NT Australian of the Year and one of Australia's finest Indigenous artists whose latest album is sung entirely in language of the Gulf Country.

Headlining the Festival is Aussie hip-hop supergroup The Herd. These hip-hop legends have won swags of awards, taken out prime spots in the Triple J Hottest 100 and played the stages of the Sydney Opera House, Big Day Out and Splendour in the Grass. Festival-goers can expect from the Herd a huge show like no other at this year's Peak Festival. Don't miss it!

Another big name act at this year's Peak Festival is The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra. This Aria- nominated act has wowed crowds everywhere from Bluesfest to Womadelaide to the Melbourne International Arts Festival.

Inspired by the infectious afro-beat music of Nigeria and its neighbours, The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra delivers contemporary African funk to Australian dancefloors. With a huge line-up, powerful MCs, conscious lyrics and infectious rhythms get set for an Afro showdown in the snow.

There'll be over 40 bands across 10 on-snow stages at Peak Festival in Perisher Valley from Friday 6 to Monday 9 June. Earlybird Tix are your best bet with tix starting from as low as $49 for an evening pass or $125 for a full 4 day pass, but hurry, earlybird tix close this Saturday 31st May!

Children under 15 are free with a paying adult and there's also some sweet snow accommodation and lift pass deals. All info at www.peakfestival.com.au
