SNOWY River Shire Council's draft suite of Integrated Planning and Reporting (IPR) documents are now on public exhibition.
The IPR Suite is made up of the following documents which outline the delivery of Council services and associated budgets:
- Delivery Program 2014 - 2017 and the 2015 Operational Plan (including the 2015 Budget).
- Long Term Financial Plan (LTFP).
- Revenue Policy.
- 2015 fees and charges.
The Operational Plan outlines the activities Council will undertake and budget over the next 12 months.
Managers were asked to apply a 2.5 per cent per year reduction to their operating budgets each year for the next four years, which resulted in reviewing current service levels, streamlining staff work plans and providing recommendations on the areas and services considered as priorities.
These priorities are reflected in the actions of the Draft Operational Plan, initial reports are proposed changes in service levels to Community Development (i.e. Arts, Community Events and Youth Services), along with Public Relations and Communications.
The IPR documents are on public exhibition for a 28 day period from Wednesday, April 23 to Tuesday, May 20. Council encourages all community members to review the draft documents and provide written feedback.
"This public exhibition period is an opportunity for the community to provide feedback on areas of concern. The feedback will be presented to Council for consideration and any approved amendments will be made to the documents before they are presented to Council for adoption in June 2014," general manager Joseph Vescio said.
The documents can be viewed on Council's website or in hard copy at one of Council's Offices in Berridale and Jindabyne, as well as at the Adaminaby Post Office and Dalgety Post Office.
Submissions must be made in writing, addressed to the General Manager to PO Box 143, Berridale NSW 2628; or by email: email@example.com
