THE Snowy River GP Super Clinic is pleased to announce that the Jindabyne Pharmacy will be taking up residency on the lower floor of the new building with a new purpose built mini-pharmacy.
The main Pharmacy will remain open at the Nuggets Crossing Shopping Centre and the new dispensary, Jindabyne Village Dispensary, will operate as a fully fledged PBS Pharmacy filling prescriptions after seeing the GPs at the Super Clinic.
This means patients can see their doctor, and then if required, go downstairs and have their prescription filled.
Both sites will be run by the same Pharmacist owners, therefore allowing them to be able to co-ordinate their stock levels accordingly.
Jindabyne Village Dispensary will operate out of the ground floor of the Clinic, providing medical supplies to patients of the GPs and Physiotherapists, by a qualified pharmacist.
Items available at the dispensary will include such things as pain relief, cough and cold medication, antibiotics, bandages, creams, vitamins and sports braces.
It is envisaged the dispensary will mirror the operating hours of the GP practice, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm and Saturdays 9am-12pm all year round (commencing in June 2014).
Extended hours may also be offered during the busy winter season and announced at a later date, subject to suitable Pharmacists being available to work.
One of the two pharmacies will always be open 8am till 8pm during winter.
The dispensary is a stand alone Pharmacy, and will have access to the PBS subsidised pricing available for all Australian Pensioners, Veterans, Concession Card holders and all general patients.
Payment may be by cash, EFTPOS or Credit Card.
Personal accounts will not be offered and the NDIS Diabetes service and supplies will still need to be accessed from the main Pharmacy.
Directors, Gavin Starr and Philip Young, and their team are looking forward to being involved with this new facility.
