ONE of Australia's most popular entertainers and TV stars, Denise Drysdale, is headlining the annual Dalgety Women's Day on May 7.
A Gold Logie award winner, Ms Drysdale will speak about her life in show business and - in the words of the organisers - give the women a good laugh.
"Dalgety Women's Day has been running successfully for many years, celebrating women's lives and stories and is a great chance for local women to share ideas. The event is capped at 190 and last year we had to turn some guests away, so I urge you to book soon," said coordinator Lee Brulisauer.
Dalgety Women's Day will be packed with speakers, entertainment, stories and laughs. Women of all ages will find something that resonates with them.
In addition to Denise Drysdale, Christine Hayward and Pat Hall will encourage you; local youth will teach you; and no Dalgety Women's Day would be complete without the voice of inspirational women from our own community.
Tickets are $10 (includes morning tea) and are available from Snowy River Shire Council offices in Jindabyne and Berridale, the Snowy Region Visitor Information Centre, the Cooma Visitor Centre and Iona Cafe in Dalgety. There will be no ticket sale on the day.
