Lake Jindabyne Yabbies competed last weekend at the Far South Coast Carnival at Moruya. Surf conditions were extreme with some events being cancelled.
Our Yabbies soldiered on the best they could with some fantastic results.
All competitors did extremely well especially in some very trying surf conditions. All those that attended had a really great carnival and showed extreme courage in entering events in these conditions, something we are not used to. The later board and cameron relay events were cancelled due to rough surf so no results from them.
Well done to all the kids you made us all from the committee to your parents very proud of your efforts and commitment and great team spirit you showed on the weekend.

Training at Crackenback
Lake Jindabyne Yabbies young Surf Life savers had a great afternoon recently training at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa.
The Yabbies held their weekly training session at Lake Crackenback utilising the resort facilities.
The young nippers ran, jumped, swam, canoed and paddled all afternoon, even the parents had a race on the resort stand up paddle boards, and finished the afternoon with the famous Nipper barbecue.
The resort is a great place for everyone to get together and Manager Scott O'Neile is happy for local community members to come and utilise the resort facilities.
The sandy beach and green grass was a great way to train for the coming Surf Live saving carnivals the young Yabbies will be attending on the far south coast this season.
Lake Crackenback have been a major sponsor for the Jindabyne Yabbies for the past two years. The Jindabyne Yabbies want to thank them for purchasing their new fiberglass competition board last year and for the new water safety board which they have just received.
The resort offers such great facility and truly is part of our community.
