Motorcyclist dies in Berridale crash

A motorcyclist has died following a crash at Berridale, near Jindabyne, on Saturday afternoon.

About 4pm, a 51-year-old man was riding his motorcycle south along Middlingbank Road with a group of other riders when he lost control on a bend.

About four kilometres north of Rocky Plains Road, the man was attempting to negotiate a right-hand bend when he lost control and skidded on to grass. .

The man became airborne over an embankment and hit a tree, sustaining serious injuries.

His friends came to his aid and rendered CPR before ambulance paramedics arrived, however he died at the scene.

Police from Cooma are investigating the crash and will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
