Three major road work projects are currently being undertaken between the Alpine Way and Berridale, as well as between Abington Park and Berridale. Drivers should expect delays as they travel throughout these sections of the Snowy River Shire.
The advice from the council is that residents travelling to and from work, school drop offs or to appointments should plan to leave a little earlier to ensure they arrive on time. Drivers are also reminded to follow all traffic control directions, to ensure the safety of drivers and workers.
The road works include the resealing of the Kosciusko Road between Berridale and Jindabyne continuing up the Alpine Way. This project has commenced at the outskirts of Berridale heading towards Jindabyne and will continue until the end of March, weather permitting.
Works between Abington Park and Berridale are expected to start in the coming weeks and continue into early April.
Slip repair works are planned to commence at the East Jindabyne corner between the service station and East Jindabyne turn off. These works are expected to begin in the coming weeks and are set to continue to late March. Delays are to be expected. Drivers should follow all directions from traffic control and note that speed limits will be enforced.
