Flying high

Snowy River Aviators (SRA) has monthly club social and flying barbecues on the first Sunday of each month when members enjoy the company of men and women with an interest in aviation. Visitors are welcome and contribute $5 for lunch and a drink.

Last Sunday Betty Braden went for her first flight in the Jabiru 170 in which instructor Adrian teaches people to fly from Adaminaby (Kennedy) Airfield. Musa is a very keen student and while he struggled to reach the pedals that control the tail rudder, he used a bolstered seat and last Sunday he flew the plane himself - twice.

Mike Roberts was part of the team that brought a helicopter in for lunch from Jindabyne.

Bill Smith is a member of SRA who commutes between the Lake Eucumbene region and Canberra.

Jindabyne and Snowy River Aviators aeroclubs are both holding open days on April 26 with Jindabyne extending to the 27th.
