The Espy Youth Council descended on the Jindabyne Lions Park recently to give it a bit of a makeover. Ten volunteers scrubbed, swept, and painted, totally transforming the park.
The new colour pallet includes a bright blue for the picnic tables, a rustic brick colourfor the barbecuess, and a dark, silvery-grey for the steelwork. The objectives of therevitalisation were to create a welcoming place for young people to hang out, and to beautify Jindabyne.
"This is phase one of the revitalisation" said Council Youth Development Officer,Meghan Quinn.
"We're working with the Lions Club to tidy the place up. We hope to add a new picnic bench over the summer, and paint the pool walls to complete the look. It's a pretty spot, and hopefully people will make better use of it now."
All residents are invited to come and enjoy the park's new look.
