Personal trainers receive award

The Australian Institute of Personal Trainers Jindabyne campus, High Country Fitness, has received the Silver Quality Award at this year's Australian Health & Fitness Industry Quality Awards held in Sydney recently.

The multi-purpose facility offers a fully equipped gym, group exercise options, personal training and is the region's only Australian Institute of Personal Trainers campus.

The Silver Quality Award indicates that the business is able to demonstrate well planned intent and sound implementation against all criteria and evidence of improvement against several criteria.

The chief executive of the Australian Insitute of Personal Trainers, Kylie Fahey, said the Jindabyne business was a top-performing campus that delivers the practical component of the Certificate IV in Fitness and trains fitness industry ready graduates.

"This Silver Quality Award is testament to High Country Fitness' excellence in staff training and development, strong campus culture and the focus on member and student experience" he said.

The Awards are assessed against four criteria that are fundamental elements of a successful fitness business practice and include programs, services and customer service, people (workforce), safety and equipment and business management.

The Awards are presented annually to recognise, promote and celebrate industry excellence.
