A group of Year Three students from Jindabyne Central School (JCS) have begun a fundraising drive for the RSPCA, starting with a schoolyard raffle.
Four girls have joined forces to organise the lunchtime raffle, with a pillow-pet cow the first prize and a football for the runner-up.
The girls sold 27 $1 tickets on their first day and hope to sell 100 before the raffle is drawn at the end of term.
"We love animals and we wanted to do our bit to help them," said Alexandra, one of the students involved in organising the raffle.
The girls hope to hold a jelly bean guessing competition next term to raise more money for the RSPCA.
