CWA assists Jindabyne community

Last Thursday, Jindabyne Country Women's Association members with friends celebrated the past and looked to the future whilst enjoying "Cocktails and Canapes" in their hall which was opened in 1964. Since 1946, the Jindabyne community has been and continues to assist members of the NSW Country Women's Association in a number of ways, namely through: the coordination of Jindabyne Mums & Bubs with guest speakers each Thursday morning; by providing a public child safe venue for Playgroup and dancing classes; educational grants for financially disadvantaged students both in Year Six and Years 11 & 12; school book prizes for effort and achievement; facilitating two visits by the South Australian Touring Opera Company; catering for Anzac Day morning tea and Autumn Leaves lunches fund raising through catering at events such as Jindy Idol.; and providing opportunities for women of all ages, to network and build relationships with other women in the community.

Should you wish to be part of the team voluntarily serving the local community, please contact Carole Morris on 6456 2888 or Dale Whitfield on 6456 2027.
