There is to be a road reconstruction on the Dalgety Road in the vicinity of Bate's Bridge over a distance of about one kilometre between the bridge and Dalgety.
This work is an extension of the Bate's Bridge project that aims to improve council's transportation infrastructure between Berridale and Dalgety. A slip road will be constructed and traffic lights installed to ensure traffic continuity while works are in progress, although drivers should plan to add about 10 minutes to their journey.
The aim of this phase of the project is to improve the road alignment, remove some of the visibility hazards and increase driver safety between Berridale and Dalgety.
Work is scheduled to start on or around Monday August 12 and last for six weeks, finishing on September 30.
