On Sunday, the Yarrangobilly team debuted two new children's tours for Parks Week, and they were a huge hit. One Ranger led tours through Jillabenan Cave on a hunt for Cave Fairies and nearly 10 were spotted.
Another Ranger led a geological tour especially tailored to children, to teach about Yarrangobilly's formations and what creates the dramatic caves found there.
The award winning Tumut Aboriginal Discovery Rangers taught families how to make ropes, tools and crafts and taught spear and boomerang throwing techniques. Hundreds of visitors enjoyed the sunshine at Yarrangobilly on the weekend and Parks encourages everyone to enjoy national parks during the remainder of Parks Week 2013.
