ON Friday night Snowy Mountains Grammar School held a Kindergarten to Year 6 camp out. About 13 families packed their camping gear and headed to the Diggings on the Alpine Way.
Luckily the weather held out on the Friday night, so that the children and their siblings could swim, ride and play along with some of the Year 12 students who came along to get to know their younger school friends.
The camp fire was lit and the smell of sizzling sausages filled the camp ground as the parents spent some quality time getting to know each other.
In the morning the children were quite happy playing in the mountain drizzle while the mums and dads cooked breakfast. One of the Dads spent time showing some of the children how to fish. All in all the weather did not dampen the fun and festivities on the camp out, and everyone agreed it was a wonderful way to get to know other families.
