JINDABYNE Snow Dragons put on a Sterling Performance on Darling Harbour for Chinese New Year.
One short week after the massively successful Flowing Festival the Snow Dragons were racing again, this time on Sydney Harbour as a part of the annual Chinese New Year's regatta.
The event was held on the picturesque Darling harbour and attracted teams from across all NSW including Kempsey, Bathurst and of course Sydney.
Much like the 2013 zodiac symbol, the snake, conditions were slippery but despite this our local team demonstrated the tenacity it is known for achieving, two very close third positions in the mixed premiers heats.
The crowning glory for team though was winning the Regional Cup, once again showing the rest of the state that the Lake Jindabyne Snow Dragons are a force to be reckoned with. A huge thanks to the entire team and in particular the sweep Maddi Davis, and congratulations on the great win.
For those interested in trying Dragon boating out for a sport, feel free to join us down on the banks of Lake Jindabyne next to the Sailing Club.
We train Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 - 6pm and Saturdays at 8.30am. We are a social and competitive team so if you simply want a social outing or the rush of adrenaline of competition then the Lake Jindabyne Snow Dragons is the team for you.
See you out on the water.
