Arthaus, the mountain art school, is back again offering classes for adults and children in Thredbo. Classes are held in the airy, light filled Knickerbocker Restaurant overlooking the Thredbo River, and venture into the stunning surrounds of Thredbo village and Kosciuszko National Park.
Arthaus tutors have lived and worked in the mountains for years, and their drawing and watercolour lessons will draw on the natural wonders of the Snowy Mountains.
Designed for artists of all abilities, art classes will be led by award-winning local illustrator and painter Katrina Hill, who will share her techniques with anyone looking to expand their creative horizons amid stunning mountain scenery.
Jan Owens, a highly renowned educator and visual arts expert, runs the children's classes in drawing and painting, using the natural landscape to inspire their creativity.
Over the summer, Jan transformed the idyllic restaurant surrounds into a mountain art school, and her popular half-day children's classes will be returning during the Easter holidays on April 2 and 3.
Adult's classes will run for three days on March 13, 14 and 15 and cost $660, and the program includes painting and drawing tuition, most materials, morning teas, lunches and after-session drinks.
Bookings are essential, so for more information visit the Arthaus website (www.thredboarthaus.com.au).
