THE Lake Light Sculpture committee is holding a black tie fundraising dinner at Banjo's on Friday to help raise funds for costs associated with running Lake Light Sculpture.
After high water levels around the lake caused the cancellation of the event last year there is strong support in the local community for event which will be held again on the foreshores of Lake Jindabyne over Easter.
"It not happening last year really made people appreciate what a great event it had grown into" says new chair of Lake Light Sculpture Inc Todd Costa.
He has spoken to a lot of local businesses and is overwhelmed with the support for the event. "Many local businesses have offered smaller sponsorships and we are lucky enough to have Snow Escape Holidays as our major sponsor." he said.
The fundraising dinner is $60 a head with live music and a cocktail on arrival courtesy of event supporters Wild Brumby Distillery. For bookings contact the Banjo Paterson Inn on 6456 2372.
Entries for Lake Light Sculpture are open now and there is up to $10,000 of prize money on offer, as well as the opportunity to complete a residency at the Australian National University.
