The Jindabyne Bowling and Sports Club were happy to entertain the Phillip Island and District Motorcycle Club last Saturday as they were spending their last day playing lawn bowls on their annual ride to Jindabyne.
The Club has been coming to Jindabyne for the past 13 years and are always excited to come back. This year was the first time they had played bowls at the Bowling Club but say "It won't be the last." Having enjoyed their time there were murmurs of making it part of the annual activities.
This year they brought 34 riders to the region, with previous years bringing up to 100 riders. They remarked that the reasons they enjoy coming to the Snowy Mountains were the roads (having a soft spot for the Alpine Way), the weather, scenery, the locals' attitude and friendliness.
If you are ever planning a trip to the Phillip Island Region please feel free to look them up on their website www.phillipislandandistrictmotorcycleclub.org.au as they would love to show you the same hospitality they receive every year they visit.
