The BTD 6 bulldozer finally made it into the Snowy Scheme Museum at Adaminaby on Sunday because of the fantastic assistance of Bill Mansfield and his Joyce.
It belonged to Max and Cliff Kennedy who used it as contractors building the Snowy Scheme. It was sold to the Museum in April 2002 when Max had a huge clearing sale following Cliff's death, and the newly formed Museum committee purchased 12 items of great heritage value to start the collection.
Max and Graham Kennedy tried to start the bulldozer before the Museum opening but were unsuccessful as it had lain idle for many years.
Bill Mansfield's skills and generosity with his time as a volunteer are therefore hugely appreciated.
