Saturday saw a top of the table clash with Jindabyne hosting Boorowa. The visitors began strongly and Jindabyne scrambled well early in defence to hold them out. First points went to the visitors with their five eight beating several defenders to score under the uprights. Trailing 7-0 the Bushpigs lifted in intensity and veteran Michael Needham scored an unconverted try. Poor handling proved costly with Boorowa enjoying the better of the territory and possession. From a scrum on the Pigs 22 the Borowa back line again made Jindabyne pay, with a well-worked try. At this point the only thing keeping Jindabyne in the game was a mounting penalty count, which saw Jindabyne make their way down field and kick a penalty goal. Then shortly before the break the Boorowa back line combined to stroll through, out wide again to score.
Behind 19-8 at the break coach Peter Abbott made several key changes to the line up. Unfortunately they could not turn it into any points, making too many errors at key times. The second half was more competitive from the Pigs only allowing Borowa to score once, however that was enough to secure a bonus point win with the final result Boorowa 24 Jindabyne 8.
Points for the week were Duncan Golby 3, Steve Rompanen 2, James Lyod 1. Players player went to Steve Rompanen. Next week The Bushpigs travel to Taralga
