Residents of Jindabyne will get their chance next week to be involved in how they want their town to look and grow.
Snowy River Shire Council will be holding the Jindabyne Action Days on March 12 and 13 at the Jindabyne Memorial Hall.
The two days are designed to be the next phase in the Jindabyne Action Plan process.
This follows the comments from 419 Jindabyne residents and key stakeholders between December 2008 and February 2009. The survey booklet generated 28,000 ideas and responses.
The aim is to have residents and council work together to develop a set of actions to help Jindabyne become a sustainable town and to realise the potential of Jindabyne over the next 20 years.
The days will be informal, involving a series of displays, slide shows and information tables. Technical experts, council staff and members of groups and organisations will be on hand to talk about the emerging actions.
Residents are invited to drop in anytime between 2pm and 6pm on Friday, March 12 or between 10am to 2pm on Saturday, March 13. It should take an hour of your time to have your say.
Refreshments will be available both days, with a barbecue on the Saturday and supervised children’s activities.
