Snowy Mountains Grammar School welcomed its new principal Andrew Bell. He has his wife Melissa and their three children have recently relocated to Jindabyne from their home on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
“The opportunity to lead Snowy Mountains Grammar School, a school of great depth and quality, and to be part of the wider local community, was an opportunity that my wife Melissa and I were pleased to pursue earlier in 2011 for our whole family,” Mr Bell said.
“I have brought many students to the Snowy Mountains area in the past from my previous school and I always had a positive feel from the people who live and reside in this community.
“When the opportunity came along, although a big decision to relocate from the Gold Coast, it was one we simply could not pass up.
“I know that my three children, Zac, Sophie and Blake will all relish their time here at Snowy Mountains Grammar School as well as integrating into a community that seems to me to have strong values and virtues. We have recently arrived and are settling in to our new lives here and we could not be happier”.
Mr Bell was able to visit the school a number of times during 2011, and was present at speech day at the end of term four where he officiated over the induction of prefects for 2012, as well as making an introductory speech to the school community.
The school is delighted to welcome Mr Bell and his family to Jindabyne and look forward to their contribution to and involvement in the school community over years to come.
