Josh Heath and Kane Trubenbacher looked relaxed and well prepared for their Higher School Certificate (HSC) Advanced Maths exam on Tuesday at Snowy Mountains Grammar School (SMGS).
The second week of the HSC exams is in full swing with exams in English, Science, Ancient History, Music, Biology, PDHPE, Hospitality, Automotive and Metal and Engineering just some subjects among this week’s list.
Josh and Kane spoke to the Summit Sun as they were walking into the hall and both said they felt “well prepared”.
They praised the help and support they had received from the Head of the Maths Department at SMGS Sue West.
“With Mrs Wests’s great tuition - we’re ready,” they both enthused.
Mrs West said most students were happy with the General Maths paper the day before and felt that “there were no surprises”.
Both boys were equally happy with the English paper they sat last Wednesday and Kane with Monday’s Ancient History paper.
Josh is planning on travelling in Europe and then studying either an engineering or environmental science degree.
Kane is jumping on a plane to Los Angeles after the exams and spending his gap year teaching skate boarding. He is then keen to further his music career.
The 2009 HSC exam period ends on Friday, November 13.
