With the official opening of the renewable energy facilities at Jindabyne Surf/Sailing Club, there's a chance to have your own guided tour and see some homes that have incorporated renewable energy or energy saving devices as part of their design.
Sue Edmondson from Clean Energy for Eternity, Snowy Mountains, is running an open day on Saturday May 10, for anyone interested in renewable energy.
It's an ideal opportunity to look at solar generation, solar hot water, solar passive design, solar heating and wind energy especially if you are thinking of incorporating some energy saving ideas into your own home.
The visit will incorporate a trip to see three homes and the Surf/Sailing Club with the opportunity to ask plenty of questions and find out how other people did it.
Mrs Edmondson said that the previous visits had been very popular but she can only take 20 people and so it was a good idea to book early.
Phone Sue Edmondson 6457 1350. Cost $10 and bring a picnic lunch.
