A special 100th anniversary booklet has been prepared by members of the All Saints Anglican Church in Berridale to mark its centenary year celebrations on November 14 and 15.
The booklet will be launched at the centenary luncheon at the Berridale Community Hall on Saturday, November 14. The author of the Centenary Booklet, Chris White, will conduct the launch on the day.
During the last few months, Reverend Carol Wagner has invited people to contribute photos and anecdotes which have formed part of the church’s life through its history in this region.
“The contributions have been put together in their historical context, and will be published as a special 100th anniversary booklet. This will be launched at the lunch, with the author, Mrs Chris White, giving the address,” Rev Wagner said.
The luncheon will be held from 12pm and costs $12.50 per person and will be followed by a Church Crawl at 2.30pm where Rev Wagner invites you to visit the region’s historic churches in your own car or with others.
On Saturday night a Community Dance will be held at the Berridale Community Hall from 7.30pm to midnight. Entertainment will be provided by the Graham Scobie Band and a super is included in the cover charge. Tickets cost $12.50 for adults and $7 for children and can be obtained by contacting Miriam Gillard on 6456 4487.
On Sunday, November 15 a Celebration Eucharist followed by morning tea will take place at 11am with special guest Bishop Trevor and Ruth Edwards.
